I started playing the flute when I was 9 years old.

ARTS024I was in the wind orchestra at school. I was quite confused about the difference between a clarinet and a flute. In fact I thought they were the same. I was even too shy to confirm the difference with my teacher. The flute was not my first choice of instrument. I don't regret things happened in this way. In fact I regard myself as being very lucky actually because I love the sound of the flute.

I stopped playing the flute in junior high school, but I started to play it again in high school. I began to play in the high school band (wind orchestra). At this time I also began playing the piccolo. I practiced playing the piccolo every day for many hours, and I really enjoyed it. My true musical life began at this time in high school.

I heard about the GUO piccolo two and a half years ago. When I first saw the pink piccolo I thought to myself, “wow that's so cute” and I thought about getting one. Eventually, I bought myself a New Voice piccolo, and I am very impressed! The piccolo is super light, has stable tones, and it’s an excellent choice for outdoors. It really is a great invention.

I recently played the New Voice piccolo at a Summer Festival in Japan earlier this year. I am very excited about playing it at forthcoming concerts soon.
